“I’ve learned to observe the nuances of nature, how to translate what I see onto canvas, and most importantly, I’ve learned how to let myself play...”

Little did I know 10 years ago at a ‘paint and sip’ event that a fire was about to spark in my heart. I was immediately fascinated with the process and all I could think about when I wasn’t working was painting.

Back then, I was a nurse practitioner and an established pillar of a bustling cardiology practice, supporting the families of our sickest patients with professionalism and genuine care. While I loved my career, it naturally came to a close after 40 years, overlapping with my budding passion for painting.

The transition to full time painter was an adventure full of learning curves that took every ounce of determination and endurance I had.

In 2016, I founded a collective art studio, gallery, and workshop space for fellow artists which quickly became a thriving community hot spot in my art-starved hometown.

Tragedy struck in 2018 as Hurricane Michael tore through the area leveling much of our town, including our art space and my house. It was a tough 4 years, but we persevered.

Today, you’ll find me in my home art studio chasing my curiosity and continuing on this artistic path. I hope my paintings inspire you to be playfully aware of the beautiful world around you.
